Easy way to access your computer with Chrome Remote Desktop on your Smartphone

This is true that there are many software that you can download and you can remotely access your computer anywhere in the world. Windows even has a native software for that but it is a bit complicated to use and most of the time the effort it takes is just too much. But not anymore. Chrome Remote Desktop is a Chrome extension and an Android app that provides the same function and is lot easier to use than others.

Yes, the above Image is the screen shot from my android smartphone and you can access your computer easily. It do not lag when you have a nice internet connection.  Google first provided this service in 2011, which allowed Chrome OS and Browser’s Users to remotely access their data and now for the first time they released it on Android. Right now it is only available on Android but the IOS version will be released latter.

Computers can be made available on an short-term basis for scenarios such as ad hoc remote support, or on a more long-term basis for remote access to your applications and files.  All connections are fully secured.  Chrome Remote Desktop is fully cross-platform.  Provide remote assistance to Windows, Mac and Linux users, or access your Windows (XP and above) and Mac (OS X 10.6 and above) desktops at any time, all from the Chrome browser on virtually any device, including Chromebooks.

So let’s see How to use it?

Step 1:

Install the Chrome Remote Desktop  extension on your Google Chrome Browser. It is available only on Chrome Browser, so be sure you are using it.

Step 2:

After installing Open the extension from the Browser. You will see two options there, Choose the one which says “You must enable remote connection” and set minimum of 6 digit of a pin code.

Step 3:

Now go ahead and Install Chrome Remote Desktop Android app on your Android Smartphone. Be sure that you are logged on your Smartphone with the same Gmail account  that you used to installed the Chrome Remote Desktop extension on your Browser.

Step 4:

You can see there is the list of the computers that you had before activated in your Chrome Browser. Click on your computer and give the PIN Number that you used before and you will be connected to your computer.
